This might be an unpopular opinion (and it's only IG/tik tok based), but before people were contouring to "sculpt" their faces and at present "everyone" has had the same fillers so they await similar even with less makeup sculpting.
I don't come across this tendency as a reaction to overdone full faces only a natural extension of minor cosmetic piece of work.
That beingness said, I dear the makeup style only it would exist prissy to see some more variety in facial structures on trending social media posts.

Edit: ofc the filters also nip and constrict at your face shape.

I concord really- if someone has fillers, microbladed brows, eyelash extensions, and perhaps a fake tan or freckles, they will 'demand' less makeup to achieve the same look.

My thoughts exactly. It's much easier to achieve the "clean face expect" when you have washed (and can afford) several procedures and treatments.

When you achieve your perfect skin, yeah guess what, you don't feel similar you lot demand that much makeup to "fix it".

I understand wanting to wait and feel good, but I would too love if people actually embraced more their features instead of trying to get an artificial composite of face up parts.

I'm just sick of trends in general. Wear what makes y'all happy. Personally I honey a fresh faced look with a pop of colour on the eyes, only if someone wants to stone a contoured look or a cut pucker, I just don't want people automatically thinking "that's sooooo passé".

Trends are substantially to make more coin. I never follow trends. I cherry pick what I like and what suits me. Might be an age thing but trends are only ideas (inappreciably anything new anyways) not must follows.

It puts a large emphasis on having clear pare, a cute os construction, and "natural dazzler" I experience. Every bit someone who has some blemishes, not then sharp features, and very little contrast to my confront (blonde brows, blonde lashes), it's not a trend I tin easily get into. It feels like the standard of beauty of a sudden got very loftier because you can't even achieve it with what little makeup the tendency "allows" you lot to vesture.
